Vital ICE Privacy Policy

 

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this Policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose and make use of personal and otherwise sensitive information.

 

1.   Access

 

1.1    Providing your mobile device's location service is active, the app will access this service when the 'Notify Emergency Group' (PRO feature, available via in-app subscription) is activated, in order to send your location to the specified recipients via SMS (text) with 128-bit encryption.

 

1.2    Access to the photo album and camera feature will be necessary to attach photos to records.

 

1.3    Access to the app user's Dropbox account will be necessary when backing up / restoring from backup (PRO feature, available via in-app purchase).

 

1.4    Access to the app user's microphone will be necessary when creating/editing a voice overview.

 

2.    Collection of Information

2.1    All information entered, audio recordings, and attached photos will be stored locally, on the app user's mobile device.

 

2.2    Personal information is used solely with the objective of fulfilling the purpose of communicating vital medical information to first responders and other medical personnel in emergencies involving app user and/or individuals whose information is contained therein.

 

2.3    User information will be received and stored on the user's Dropbox account, when backup/restore feature is enabled and activated (PRO feature, available via in-app subscription).

 

3.    Sharing of Information

3.1    Information is not accessible by Vitalboards, LLC, it's affiliates, or any third party designated by the same. Information may be sent via email (SMTP by way of server), with 128-bit encryption, to an email recipient that user or anyone with access to Vital ICE on user's mobile device specifies. Vital ICE app and supporting server(s) will only retain user information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes.

 

3.2    It is user's complete responsibility to secure their mobile device from unauthorized access, and Vitalboards, LLC shall not be held accountable for anything that arises as a result of unauthorized viewing of information that was input into Vital ICE.

 

3.3    User location may be transmitted to a user-defined group of recipients via SMS (text), if user activates the 'Notify Emergency Group' feature (PRO feature, available via in-app subscription). See 1.1.

 

3.4    User information will be securely transmitted to the user's Dropbox account, when backup/restore feature is enabled and activated (PRO feature, available via in-app subscription).

 

4.    Privacy Policy Changes

 

4.1    We will make readily available to app users this Privacy Policy, and changes will be made directly to copy on this webpage.
